Winter Activities

For winter thrills off the slopes, look no further than the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster or Tubing Hill at Elk Camp on Snowmass. On the coaster, riders will wind their way through over a mile of forest on an elevated track at speeds of up to 28mph. Tubing offers unlimited smiles as you fly down the snowy hill at Elk Camp Meadows. | COASTER DETAILS

• Hours are 11am - 3:30pm daily. Open weekends with mountain opening then daily beginning mid-December.
• Unlimited coaster rides.
• Lift access is included and valid for purchase date.
• Guests must be at least 38” tall to ride the Breathtaker Alpine Coaster.
• Driver must be between 54 inches and 84 inches tall to pilot sled.
• Driver must be between 54 inches and 84 inches tall and 16 years or older to pilot sled with a passenger.
• Driver must be physically able to maintain seated position and use safety restraints such as brake lever. See full details here.

TUBING DETAILS

• Hours are 11am - 3:30pm daily starting late December.
• Guests must be at least 38" tall to ride the Tubing Hill.
• One person per tube.
• You may ride two people in tandem tubes.

Learn about wildlife in winter, tracking, mountain ecology, local history, and more. | Snowshoe Tours may be sold out or unavailable for certain dates based on demand.

DETAILS

• The tour is approximately 1.5 miles round trip. Tours take place on gentle terrain and are held at a leisurely pace.
• Aspen Tours: You will meet your guide at the top of the Silver Queen Gondola at either 10am or 1pm.
• Snowmass Tours: You will meet your guide at the top of the Elk Camp Gondola at either 10am or 1pm.
• Please load the gondola at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.
• Warm clothes and snowboots are recommended.
• Tour price includes gondola ride, snowshoes, knowledgeable guide, and basic snowshoeing instruction.

Peak Season Details
While there are no blackout dates for winter 2024-2025 Sightseeing Tickets, during peak season dates, there will be delayed access on Aspen Mountain and Snowmass. Peak dates are December 28-January 4 and February 15 & 16.
